The inspiration for this piece emerged during a live set of music by Lee England, Jr. who is a hip hop violinist. While listening to Lee journey from classical to hip hop, sultry sounds to rapping on the mic I began painting over the red background. I added on with waves of golden yellow and quick strokes of blue and magenta. A microphone borders the left side and an abstract violin punctuates the piece on the right.
